ReadWild Palindromes

A palindrome is a phrase that reads the same backwards and forwards. It derives its name from the Greek, palindromus, meaning "to run back again." The greeks had many palindromes, one of the most common was found inscribed on many fountains:

Nipson anomemata me monan opsin.

It means "wash the sin as well as the face". Of course it was written in Greek:

The shortest palindroms are the words "I" and "a". A better example might be as simple as "Bob" or "Madam". Palindromes can be sentences, and in this case spaces and punctuation are ignored. Perhaps the most famous is "A man, a plan, a canal, Panama!"
